Johanna Sepúlveda is Senior Scientist Secure Communications for Airbus Defence and Space – Intelligence. Before joining Airbus, she was a researcher at the Institute for Security in Information Technology at TUM (Germany). Previously she was a Visiting Researcher at the Computer Architecture group at the University of Bremen (Germany) and a Senior INRIA Postdoctoral Researcher at the Heterogeneous Systems Group at the University of Lyon (France). She has more than 13 years of experience in embedded security design, including research on and implementation of innovative and low-cost protection techniques (crypto/no crypto based) against side-channel attacks, fault attacks and denial-of-service attacks. She has experience in the development of hardware and software for embedded systems in general, including verification, design optimisation and the inclusion of quality-of-service in network-based systems. She earned both a PhD and MSc in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics from the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil).
